Rising 6th graders are invited to a chicken hunt, the Youth Group’s final gathering of the school year. It will be held Sunday, May 18, 4-7pm. Volunteers are needed to host a chicken location. Any members willing to be part of this fun scavenger hunt need to contact Elizabeth. New Member Sunday

WEPC Youth Group is kicking off an ongoing service project to collect then donate USED athletic shoes to needy individuals. Shoes that are too used to be worn again will be donated for recycling. Please drop off your DRY shoes in the box located in the narthex. Take Us Out to the Ballgame
Join the WEPC Family as we go to a Grasshoppers Baseball game on Sunday, June 1. We will leave the church at 1pm and return at 6pm. Tickets are $8ea. Let Elizabeth know if you plan to attend by May 14. 
Our Middle and High School Youth will be attending the Massanetta Springs Middle School Conference June 19-22 and the Montreat Youth Conference for High Schoolers July 5-12. Deadline to Register is May 15. Contact Elizabeth for more info. |
Volunteers are needed to help with the annual Apostle Build Thurs. June 5-Sat. June 7 from 8am-1pm. NO EXPERIENCE NECESSARY, NO TOOLS REQUIRED. Registration is required. Go to https://sandhillshabitat.org and click on VOLUNTEERS. Continue to click through until you find the CALENDAR and scroll to June. Find the date you want to volunteer and click on Apostle's Build. Family Promise is running low on paper towels, toilet paper, Lysol spray, Mr. Clean floor cleaner (or something similar) There will be a basket in the Narthex for donations the next 2 Sundays. This conference will enhance and challenge your musical skills. The classes range from beginners to advanced, the choirs are outstanding and you do not want to miss the worship experiences. A new home is needed for the upright Baldwin piano in the Crawford Center. It will need tuning and some repair, but we are offering it free to a good home if you are willing to move it there. Contact Beverly if you are interested. Attention All Cooks!

Change for HaitiCheck your pockets, purses, and even sofas for extra change that you may have. Place it in the marked jar in the Narthex. We will make sure your offering goes to Pastor Sidor of Haiti Help and Hope. He oversees five churches and a school. His mission is to feed and educate the children, and teach them about God's love. Haiti is ranked #1 of the ten poorest countries in the world. 
The Sandhills/Moore Coalition's mission is to "alleviate hunger and financial strains of struggling households in Moore County." WEPC supports the Coalition by providing 1lb bags of rice. Drop your donations in the basket in the church narthex. |
