Join us for our Intergenerational Vacation Bible School Wed. July 16 & Wed. July 30 5:30-7pm. We will eat dinner, explore a Bible story about peace and justice, and join in some recreation, arts and crafts. Please let Elizabeth know if you are able to attend. Please join us on July 20 at the 10am Worship service for an old-fashioned hymn sing. Let Beverly know what hymn you would like sung by clicking here or filling out the insert in the worship bulletin. if you need inspiration, old hymnals will be available for browsing outside of the choir room. Youth Group Cook OutRising 6th Graders through graduated 12th graders are invited to a Youth Group cook out at the Nix family home on July 20 from 6-8pm. Burgers, hot dogs and drinks will be provided, but sides would be welcome additions. Please RSVP to Elizabeth. |
WEPC provides transportation to Camp Monroe Day Camp July 21-25. If your child is interested, sign up directly with Camp Monroe. We are also in need of volunteers to drive the van. Please let Elizabeth know if you need transportation or can help drive the van. A new home is needed for the upright Baldwin piano in the Crawford Center. It will need tuning and some repair, but we are offering it free to a good home if you are willing to move it there. Contact Beverly if you are interested. Elementary School Age Summer Check-inJoin Elizabeth for a summer check-in at Ben's Ice Cream on Sat, Aug. 2 from 1-4pm. Meet there, meet in the church parking lot at 1pm. or she can pick up children living in 7 Lakes or West End with the church van. West End Presbyterian Church is one again partnering with Rise Against Hunger in the global movement to end hunger. Join us in packaging over 15,000 meals to support nutrition, education and health for children and families facing hunger right now around the world. Attention All Cooks!We could always use meals/snacks for our youth programs. Willing cooks should contact Elizabeth. Change for HaitiCheck your pockets, purses, and even sofas for extra change that you may have. Place it in the marked jar in the Narthex. We will make sure your offering goes to Pastor Sidor of Haiti Help and Hope. He oversees five churches and a school. His mission is to feed and educate the children, and teach them about God's love. Haiti is ranked #1 of the ten poorest countries in the world. |
